Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Parts Coordinator to manage ordering, receiving, storing and distributing parts for repair orders. You will verify accuracy and quality of parts to support the shop’s production schedule and customer experience.

The role requires 1–3+ years in automotive parts, strong communication, and proficiency with MIS systems such as Summit and Repair Centre. A High School Diploma is required, and you’ll excel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3+ years of experience with automotive parts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, store and dispatch parts for each repair order.
• Verify accuracy and quality of parts and document activity in the MIS.
• Communicate parts needs and price changes to the team; maintain timing per schedule.
• Label, track, and store parts with RO numbers and coordinate with shop staff.

The Parts Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by verifying the accuracy and quality of parts received in a timely manner as per the production schedule and vehicle needs.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members.Work with vendors to order and receive all parts as indicated on the repair orders confirming the quality, correctness and quantity of parts received, accurately identifying parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop.Ensure timely parts distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule.Enter all parts invoices into the recommended Management Information System (MIS).Label and track all parts by the R.O.# and store them with the vehicle and/or scheduled repairs; Communicate all Parts Price Changes (also known as Parts Price Increases - PPI) to all required team members.Order and receive supplemental Parts in the MIS, monitor performance of parts, materials and sublet vendors.
