Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Florida seeks a Parts Coordinator to ensure a seamless customer experience by ordering, receiving, storing and dispatching parts for each repair order.

You will verify parts accuracy and quality, work with a network of vendors, and enter invoices into the MIS while tracking parts by repair order numbers. The role requires 1–3+ years in automotive parts and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3+ years of experience working with automotive parts; auto body parts is a bonus.
  • I-CAR registration or pursuing Gold Class certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle repairs practices.

Responsibilities

  • Order and receive automotive parts as indicated on repair orders.
  • Verify quality, accuracy and quantity of parts received.
  • Label and track parts by the RO#, and store with vehicle.
  • Communicate parts price changes to team members.
  • Enter parts invoices into the MIS and reconcile invoices.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely parts distribution.
  • Assist with parts sourcing using Car-part, Progi, APU, LKQ.
  • Maintain documentation and support the repair process.

The Parts Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by verifying the accuracy and quality of parts received in a timely manner as per the production schedule and vehicle needs.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members.Work with vendors to order and receive all parts as indicated on the repair orders confirming the quality, correctness and quantity of parts received, accurately identifying parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop.Ensure timely parts distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule.Enter all parts invoices into the recommended Management Information System (MIS).Label and track all parts by the R.O.# and store them with the vehicle and/or scheduled repairs; Communicate all Parts Price Changes (also known as Parts Price Increases - PPI) to all required team members.Order and receive supplemental Parts in the MIS, monitor performance of parts, materials and sublet vendors.
