Job summary

Amwins Specialty Auto is seeking a Level 1 Claims Manager to lead a team handling auto and casualty claims. This in-office role offers a hybrid schedule after training, with focus on timely investigations, coverage analysis, and fair resolutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in personal auto claims and 1–3 years in leadership, plus a Bachelor’s degree. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus and Florida adjuster licensing will be pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of personal auto claims experience (BI, liability, PD).
• 1–3 years of management experience.
• Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Texas adjuster license current; Florida license after hire.
• Strong understanding of claim investigations, coverage evaluation, liability assessment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily claim assignments and first contact with parties.
• Monitor investigations, coverage analyses, and liability decisions for accuracy.
• Review claim documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Coach and develop team members to improve investigation quality and negotiation skills.
• Maintain reserves and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with damage, injury adjusters, and internal partners to ensure smooth handling.
• Track team metrics: timeliness, cycle time, reserve adequacy, quality, customer satisfaction.
• Support escalated concerns with clear explanations and promote a high-performing culture.
