Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an experienced collision repair technician for our Los Angeles shop. Compensation ranges from $18 to $24 per hour depending on experience, with paid weekly payroll and a strong benefits package.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, perform welding and body work, follow work orders, and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards. I-CAR/ASE certs are preferred; valid driver's license required; background check may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years' collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged area; store parts properly.
• Mend damaged body by hammering, filling dents, and welding; ensure gaps and fits meet industry standards.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, sander, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts; inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety/quality.
• Comply with all SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines; this is a flat-rate technician position.
