Responsibilities
  1. Examines damaged vehicles and efficiently plans the repair process.
  2. Works and communicates with team members regarding vehicle repair status.
  3. Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time completion.
  4. Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
  5. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders.
  6. Participates in all required safety meetings.
  7. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
  8. Supervises and directs the work of apprentices or repair personnel when needed, explaining procedures and resolving unusual problems.
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate a frame machine.
  • Certification in body repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
  • I-CAR welding certification.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
  • Ability to supervise repair personnel.
  • Must pass a thorough background check.
