Gerber Collision & Glass in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair and restoration to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign chassis, replace parts, and repaint to factory standards, while collaborating with teammates to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise of speed and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with others in an auto body shop.
• Knowledge of repair methods and proper use of shop tools.
• Familiarity with body repair procedures and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare estimated costs for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers as needed; realign chassis for structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interior parts.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
