Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassemble and reassemble parts, and uphold our promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will work with the team to meet KPIs, read job orders, and perform repairs using cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.

A high school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or an apprenticeship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and how to use trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer estimates; use tools to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass, interior parts, and paint as required.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
