Job summary

The Boyd Group in Louisville, KY is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision and speed. You will assess damage, plan repairs, and ensure a top-notch customer experience through quality workmanship.

You’ll disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, use cutting tools and fillers, and verify every job meets KPI standards. You must lift up to 30 pounds and work safely in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers for repairs.
• Repair dents and body damage with fillers when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass and interior parts as required.
• Weld and fit parts, apply paint to match factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
