Job summary

The Boyd Group in Lexington, KY is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, ensuring adherence to speed, quality, and safety standards, and actively contribute to achieving shop KPIs.

You will work with a team to plan repairs, prepare estimates, and ensure repairs meet factory specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of repair procedures and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Use cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers for repairs.
• Weld, fit, paint, and inspect vehicles to ensure quality workmanship.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and ensure customer satisfaction.
