Responsibilities

1. Examine damaged vehicle and efficiently plan the repair process.
2. Communicate with team members regarding vehicle repair status.
3. Perform quality repairs while adhering to time schedules.
4. Decide on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
5. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window equipment, and trim to access vehicle components.
6. Participate in all required safety meetings.
7. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
8. Supervise apprentice tasks when necessary, explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

This position is paid on a commission/flag rate structure. Flag pay guarantees meeting local minimum wage requirements for all hours worked weekly. The listed compensation range reflects the average flag pay for full-time employees in this role.
