Job summary

Classic Collision Schertz Repair Center in Schertz, TX is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician to disassemble, repair and refinish vehicles. You will work with estimators to assess damage, plan repairs, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include removing components, repairing body panels, using various hand and power tools, and testing vehicles after repair. A valid driver's license and 18+ years old are required; background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License Required

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles to assist estimators in assessing damage and planning repairs.
• Identify needed repairs to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedures according to work orders.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical parts to access damaged areas.
• Mend damaged body with hammering, welding and replacement parts; ensure proper gaps.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before returning vehicle to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality.
• Adhere to SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
