Fields Collision Center Glenview is seeking an Auto Body Technician Apprentice to join our collision repair team. This entry-level role teaches hands-on body repair skills under the guidance of experienced technicians.

You will assist with disassembly, repairs, prep, and reassembly while learning safety procedures and industry standards. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within our family-owned shop.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced body technicians with collision and body repairs.
• Remove and reinstall vehicle components, trim, bumpers, lights as directed.
• Assist with dent repair, panel replacement, sanding, grinding, and surface preparation.
• Prepare vehicles and parts for bodywork and refinishing.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Learn and follow manufacturer repair procedures and shop safety requirements.
• Assist with moving and positioning vehicles within the shop.
• Inspect parts and components for damage or required replacement.
• Properly handle and store tools, equipment, and materials.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with technicians and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
