Fields Collision Center Glenview is seeking an Auto Body Technician Apprentice to join our collision repair team. This entry-level role offers hands-on skill development while working with experienced technicians in a supportive family-owned environment.

The apprentice will assist with disassembly, body repairs, preparation, and reassembly while learning safety procedures and industry standards; competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Entry-level apprenticeship designed to learn auto body repair skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop automotive body repair skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced body technicians with collision and body repairs.
• Remove and reinstall vehicle components, trim, bumpers, lights, and other parts as directed.
• Assist with dent repair, panel replacement, sanding, grinding, and surface preparation.
• Prepare vehicles and parts for bodywork and refinishing.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Learn and follow manufacturer repair procedures and shop safety requirements.
• Assist with moving and positioning vehicles within the shop.
• Inspect parts and components for damage or required replacement.
• Properly handle and store tools, equipment, and materials.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with technicians and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
