Job summary

Motocruit is seeking an Auto Body Technician to repair and restore vehicles with structural damage for our client. You will rebuild frames, align suspension, and replace damaged panels using MIG/TIG welding and precision measuring equipment.

Must have at least 2 years in auto body repair, with strong attention to detail and teamwork. ASE/I-CAR certifications are preferred, and familiarity with Car-O-Liner, Chief, Genesis, or Celette is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of auto body repair experience with structural focus.
• Credential(s) like ASE Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class preferred.
• Experience with frame and suspension alignment and welding tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess structural damage and determine repair scope for each vehicle.
• Disassemble vehicles to evaluate extent of damage and uncover hidden issues.
• Repair and rebuild frames to factory specs using specialized tools.
• Align frames and suspension systems for safe handling.
• Replace damaged panels with new or used parts per customer needs.

• Use computerized measuring systems to verify alignment.

Job description

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Auto Body Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have sustained structural damage due to accidents or other incidents. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in repairing and rebuilding vehicle frames, aligning frames and suspension systems, replacing damaged body panels and parts, and using specialized tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough assessments of structural damage on vehicles to determine the scope of repairs needed.
  
• Disassembling damaged vehicles to assess the extent of structural damage and identify any hidden damage.
  
• Repairing and rebuilding vehicle frames to factory specifications using specialized tools and techniques.
  
• Aligning frames and suspension systems to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety.
  
• Replacing damaged body panels and parts with new or used parts, depending on the customer's preference and budget.
  
• Utilizing specialized welding techniques to repair damaged metal parts, including MIG, TIG, and resistance welding.
  
• Utilizing computerized measuring systems to ensure proper alignment and repairs.
  
• Communicating effectively with team members and customers to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and timelines.
  
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto body repair, with an emphasis on structural repairs.
  
• Knowledge of welding techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment.
  
• Experience in frame and suspension alignment.
  
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
  
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
  
• Relevant certification(s) such as ASE Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class certification is preferred.
  
• Experience utilizing Car-O-Liner, Chief, Genesis, or Celette highly preferred
  

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
