Job Description

The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. The technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, playing a pivotal role in our company's promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. They work in alignment with all team members to achieve repair KPIs and serve as Brand Ambassadors of The Boyd Group.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use various tools for vehicle repair.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler resins, realign chassis and frames, replace damaged sections and glass, repair interior parts, weld, and repaint vehicles.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair for quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to read job orders and work independently.
• Ability to collaborate with team members.
• Understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
• Proficiency in using repair tools.

Other Requirements

• Ability to work safely in noisy, odorous environments.
• Lift up to 30 pounds.
• Inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
• Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed.
