Job summary

Jobtailor is actively seeking an experienced collision repair lead to supervise and coordinate high‑quality vehicle repairs in a safe, efficient shop environment. You will evaluate repair options, direct technicians and apprentices, and ensure on‑time completion of frames and bodywork at our Texas facility.

The role requires I‑CAR Welding Certification and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes, with a focus on safety, cost control, and effective team leadership.

Qualifications

• I-CAR Welding Certification required.
• Body Repair Certification preferred.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process.
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide whether to repair or replace components based on safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic equipment, and trim to access vehicle and fenders.
• Participate in required safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice when needed and explain procedures.
