Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced auto body shop supervisor to lead repairs on damaged vehicles, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion. You will coordinate with teammates, plan repair steps, and oversee apprentices as needed.

The ideal candidate will have frame machine experience, I-CAR welding certification, and strong knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• I-CAR welding certified.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicle and plan repair process.
• Communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access fenders.
• Participate in safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice and explain procedures.

• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
• Participates in all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.
