Job summary

Classic Collision Beaverton Repair Center seeks skilled collision technician to disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles, ensuring safety and quality. You will follow detailed repair plans, operate assorted tools, and collaborate with Estimators to minimize supplements and delays.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of collision repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and a team-focused attitude. Benefits include a supportive culture and paid time off as part of a growing company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2-3 years' collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows to access damaged area; store parts appropriately.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out dents and welding parts; ensure gaps and fits meet industry standards; reassemble after painting.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as welder, soldering equipment and spray guns.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with all Classic Collision SOPs, safety Rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimatorsin assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to gain access to damaged area of vehicle if needed. Store parts on carts or cover to eliminate potential damage
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standards; remove damaged panels and bolts or welds replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.)
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety, rules, and guidelines
