Job summary

NW Natural in Sherwood, Oregon is seeking an Auto Body Repair Tech (Union Position) for full-time work. The role performs specialized vehicle painting, collision repair, and fabrication under supervision, with opportunities to train others and maintain safety standards.

The candidate should have three years journeyman experience, strong math/reading, and the ability to work with estimates, insurance adjusters, and multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Three years journeyman experience in body repair and refinishing.
• Advanced math and reading skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Must obtain CDL Class A within 30 days and maintain DOT certifications.
• Valid OR/WA driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized painting on autos, trucks, and equipment.
• Writes estimates, coordinates with insurance adjusters, outside repair facilities, and all departments to facilitate repairs.
• Maintains inventories.
• Maintains records and reports of work performed.
• Performs minor repairs to fleet vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Trains and assists less-experienced workers as directed.
• Operates company vehicles in compliance with laws and policies.
• Acquires and maintains OQ qualifications.
