Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is seeking a Body Shop Painter in Sanford, FL to perform body repair work in a production environment. You will remove, repair, and prep vehicles for paint, maintain safety standards, and assist with overall shop efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of paint and body experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Automotive/auction experience is preferred; tools may be required. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

• May be required to provide sufficient tools to perform the job.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, or replace damaged parts.
• Properly fill and sand in preparation for paint process.
• Use welding, soldering, and cutting torches as required.
• Perform visual and feel quality inspection prior to the spraying of any product to ensure the vehicle is properly prepped for paint.
• Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and dusted prior to painting.
• May mask vehicles in preparation for paint process.
• Communicate with other technicians to meet production goals and customer standards.
• Clean equipment to ensure proper maintenance.
• Assist with general shop cleanliness and organization.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all. Maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment.
• Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise management of all serious complaints or incidents.
• Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
• Inform the Body Shop Supervisor or Manager of all equipment breakdowns and maintenance immediately.
• Promote and follow safety policies.

Role and Team

• Reporting to the Body Shop or designated Manager, perform body repair work in a production environment. Maintain high standards for efficiency and observe all safety requirements. Perform all additional duties assigned by the manager.
