Job summary

B Street Collision Center in Omaha, NE is seeking a Shop Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a production-focused team. You will drive quality, safety, and efficiency while collaborating with the Office Manager to ensure smooth communication from the front door to the shop floor.

You will implement the Employee Manual, recruit and train staff, and maintain a positive culture while using multiple management and estimating systems to meet business financial goals.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in auto body / automotive / dealership industry or related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift, squat, kneel, bend and manage car parts over 50 pounds.
• Strong leadership and communication to coordinate front desk and shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of time in shop leading from an eyes-on-production mindset.
• Partner with Office Manager to ensure excellent communication from front door to shop floor.
• Implement and enforce policies in the Employee Manual.
• Identify, create, and maintain positive culture in the team.
• Participate in quality control checks and ensure safety/OSHA standards.
• Ensure all leases, licenses, and permits are current and in place.
• Interview, select, and train employees.
• Utilize management and estimating systems.
• Understand business financials and meet financial goals.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SHOP MANAGER?

• Majority of time spent in shop leading from an eyes-on-production mindset
• Partner with a Office manager to ensure excellent communication from the front door to shop floor
• Implementing and holding employees accountable to policies outlined in B Street Employee Manual
• Identify, create, and maintain positive culture in a team
• Take part and ensure quality control checks are being completed
• Ensure employees meeting safety and OSHA standards
• Assuring all necessary leases, licenses, and permits are current and in place
• Interviewing, selecting, and training of employees
• Utilize a variety of management and estimating systems
• Understands business financials and meet financial goals
• Spend time training in each department before taking on Store Manager responsibilities to ensure you are set up for success as a leader and fully understand all facets of business

HERE ARE OUR NON-NEGOTIABLES

• Maintain a Monday – Friday 6:45am - 5:00pm schedule
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the auto body / automotive / dealership industry, or relatable field preferred but not required. We will teach and train the right candidate.
• Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, bend and manage car parts in excess of 50 pounds
• You must have a valid driver’s license
