Job summary

CSN Collision is seeking a skilled Auto Body Prepper/Painter in Woodbridge, CT to prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, priming and masking. The role offers potential advancement within the paint department.

You will work with a collaborative team to ensure smooth workflow, high-quality results and attention to detail. A minimum of 2+ years in a similar role, good physical stamina, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years experience as Auto Body Prepper/Painter or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of sanding and masking techniques.
• Familiarity with automotive paints, primers and painting equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Sand vehicle surfaces to create a smooth painting surface.
• Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas not being painted.
• Prepare surfaces with cleaning, sanding, and priming.
• Ensure adhesion by removing dirt and imperfections.
• Assist with mixing paints and primers per spec.
• Assist with operating and maintaining painting equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with the painting team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
