Qualifications

Description

We have opened a new collision facility in Jeannette and are looking to add a few experienced auto body paint technicians to our rapidly growing team.

What you will be doing:

  • Calculating cost estimates.
  • Setting up and operating paint and coating machines.
  • Assessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prep for painting.
  • Preparing the correct color tint to match proper paint color.
  • Painting the vehicles with a high level of efficiency and quality.
  • Sanding, priming, and prepping surface areas.
  • Maintaining controlled temperature and humidity for drying.
  • Measuring paint thickness and even application.
  • Restoring coating and seam sealers.
  • Establishes a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work.
  • Maintaining work area in a clean and orderly manner, which would include the cleaning equipment, tools, and work area to company standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of auto body paint experience.
  • Vocational/technical school training with ASE, I-CAR or BASF (waterborne) certification a plus, but not required.
  • Current driver’s license with a clean MVR with no tickets or suspensions.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and a background check with no felonies/misdemeanors.
  • Ability to work with a variety of tools including blow torches, vehicle lifts, chemical baths, power buffers, spray machines, arc welders, and painting robots.
  • Pay close attention to detail and quality of work performed.
  • Be organized and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Be able to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Can easily learn and apply new concepts.
  • Maintain the ability and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
