Job summary

Penske Motor Group LLC is seeking a Refinish Apprentice to learn the refinishing of damaged vehicle parts in our collision center. You will work with a Refinish Technician to match color, prep surfaces, and apply primers while learning safety and quality standards.

The role offers a pay scale with base hourly rate $18.00-$25.00, plus benefits, paid weekly, and opportunities for growth within the Penske network. This on-site position supports full-time or part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience replenishing vehicles.
• Knowledge of tools, safety regulations, and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Learn to refinish vehicles under the guidance of a Refinish Technician.
• Inspect vehicles entering the paint shop to ensure quality standards.
• Mix paints to match color specifications or original colors.
• Assist in preparing vehicles for paint by filling dents and smoothing surfaces.
• Apply primer over repairs and ensure proper surface finish.
• Buff and wax finished paint to a high quality standard.
• Assist in laying out logos or designs per blueprint specifications.
• Maintain safety equipment and follow hazardous material handling rules.
• Operate body shop equipment safely and maintain tools in good state.
