Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury in Iowa to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and related claims. The role covers coverage review, investigations, liability assessment and damages evaluation to ensure timely and compliant resolutions.

You will work with insureds, clients, and brokers, managing a variety of claims while adhering to client requirements and industry best practices. A strong background in claims management and licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication; PC literate with Microsoft Office.
• State adjusting licenses or ability to secure them as required.

Responsibilities

• Process complex auto, commercial, and personal-line bodily injury claims with proper documentation.
• Manage litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinate vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Report large claims to excess carriers.
• Develop and maintain action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identify subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secure and dispose of salvage.
• Communicate claim actions with insured, clients, and brokers as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned; support the organization's quality programs.
