Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner to analyze and process complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims, reviewing coverage, investigating liability, and evaluating damages for timely resolution. You will work with insureds, clients, and brokers to communicate outcomes and meet service expectations.

The ideal candidate has extensive claims management experience in auto lines, strong communication skills, and licensure where required.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Licenses or professional certification as applicable to the line of business.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial, and personal-line claims, including bodily injury, ensuring files are properly documented and coded.
• Responsible for the litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization’s quality programs.
