Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children with autism using evidence-based strategies in home, school, or community settings. Paid training to become an RBT is provided, and no college degree is required.

You will work with a caring clinical team, collecting data, implementing plans, and helping children reach meaningful progress while developing your own career in a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement.
• Candidates should be 18 years or older.
• Experience with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle required.
• Evening/after-school availability preferred (2–6 hours, Mon–Fri).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children with autism using evidence-based strategies.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a supervising clinician.
• Teach communication, social, daily living, and behavioral skills in home, school, or community settings.
• Collect data on client progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and their families.
• Collaborate with a clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
• Celebrate small wins that lead to meaningful progress.
• Be a steward of ATS’s mission, vision, values, and beliefs.

Education

High school diploma or GED

18+ years old

Experience with children or disabilities preferred
