Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Intervention Specialist preferred but any certification considered including K-3, 4-9, 7-12 in any area considered.
  • Valid teaching certificate/license, valid teacher substitute license, or willingness to obtain substitute license.
  • Previous experience in working with students diagnosed with Autism preferred but not required.
  • Work effectively with children diagnosed with special needs and behavior challenges in an alternative educational program.
  • Work effectively with a variety of related service personnel in providing educational programming to students diagnosed with ASD.
  • Provides for individual differences through an individualized educational program that is evidenced in daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals.
  • Provide appropriate educational activities and opportunities for children with a goal of enhancing their educational, social, and emotional growth.
  • Maintains effective communication and collaboration with administration, district of residence, and families concerning matters related to students in the program.
