Job summary

Staff Today Inc in Wilson, NC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in an Autistic Support classroom for grades 3-5. This full-time, on-site role focuses on implementing IEPs and providing tailored instruction.

You will collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success while ensuring FAPE in the least restrictive environment. NC licensure required.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for a NC Special Education license.
• Must have NC Special Education credential for Moderate/Severe or ESN.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs for each student.
• Provide specialized instruction and adapt lessons for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
• Assess progress and provide accommodations/modifications.
• Ensure FAPE in LRE per procedures and protecting student rights.
• Full-time Long-Term Substitute in Autistic Support for grades 3-5.
