Job summary

Lifeworks, a nonprofit serving adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is hiring a full-time Adult Autism Support Specialist to work with individuals with ID/DD in Westwood, MA.

You will develop and facilitate activities at our center and in the community, assist with benefits applications, and help coordinate workshops, outreach, and partnerships across the Newton/South Norfolk and Metro-Boston area.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience with individuals with ID/DD is required.
• Must pass fingerprint, CORI, DPPC and driving background checks.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize and facilitate activities and programs at the center and in the community.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Meet referrals to assist with benefits applications and resources.
• Facilitate workshops and trainings on ASD topics.
• Develop outreach materials, newsletters and community offerings.
• Build community collaborations and partnerships to benefit participants.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Multitask and prioritize with attention to detail.
