Candidates should hold a Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements; a Master’s degree is preferred. ESL certification is a plus and experience with ARD/IEP processes is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements plans for the curriculum program assigned.
• Plans and uses appropriate instructional strategies and materials for students with autism spectrum disorders.
• Collaborates with staff to modify curricula per IEP goals.
• Maintains a positive classroom environment and manages student behavior.
• Communicates progress with parents and ARD committees.
