Job summary

GBE Alliance in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide applied behavior analysis therapy to children with autism, including home-based sessions. You will implement behavior intervention plans under a BCBA supervision and help children develop essential life skills in a safe, supportive setting.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current RBT certification from BACB or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, patience, empathy, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Genuine passion for working with children with autism and making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Follow behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs to support children with autism in reaching goals.
  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy focusing on skills acquisition, behavior reduction, and communication development.
  • Accurately record data during therapy sessions to track progress.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, speech and occupational therapists, and other team members.
  • Train parents and caregivers in ABA techniques to facilitate generalization of skills.
  • Maintain session notes, progress reports, and necessary documentation.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of children during sessions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism. As an RBT, you will play a crucial role in implementing behavior intervention plans and helping children develop essential life skills while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. This position works with home-based ABA clients and is part-time. As the position progresses, full-time hours may become available.

Responsibilities
  • Follow behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support children with autism in reaching their individual goals.
  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children, focusing on skills acquisition, behavior reduction, and communication development.
  • Accurately record data during therapy sessions to track progressandassist in the evaluation of treatment plans.
  • Implement behavior management techniques and strategies to addresschallengingbehaviors and promote positive behavior change.
  • Collaboratewith BCBAs,speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Train parents and caregivers in ABA techniques to facilitate generalization of skills learned during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain detailed and organized session notes, progress reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children during therapy sessions, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Stay current with best practices in ABA therapy through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment. This includes daily cleaning tasks, weekly assigned chores, sanitizing materials, and ensuring treatment spaces are reset for subsequent sessions.
  • Must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or be willing to obtain a certification within 30 days of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Previousexperienceworking with children with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience,empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Agenuinepassion for working with children with autism and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Successful completion of a background check and any other required screenings.

  • Physical capabilities include walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching,crawling, twisting, reaching above head, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
