Job Summary

As an Autism Support Professional // Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work one-on-one with children, using ABA techniques to help them achieve their goals. These goals may include improving communication, social skills, self-care, or managing challenging behaviors. You will implement programs designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who will guide you. ABA focuses on making learning fun and meaningful through play, activities, and positive interactions.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA therapy programs designed by a BCBA to support skill development in areas such as communication, social skills, self-help, and play
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and create a engaging learning environment
• Implement behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive change
• Collect and record accurate data on the child's progress during each session
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide progress updates and strategies to support the child outside of therapy
• Collaborate with BCBAs, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other team members for coordinated care
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children during therapy sessions by following safety protocols
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development to maintain high-quality care
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable; we will consider any experience working with children (e.g., teachers, SPED professionals, babysitters, daycare workers, coaches, parents)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to therapy locations
• Availability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and occasional Saturdays
• Successful completion of a background check and any required screenings

Physical Requirements

• Walking, standing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
