Job summary

The Coweta County School System is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Arnco Sargent Elementary Autism Adapted Curriculum program. The role supports the classroom teacher in delivering instructional programs and managing groups of students.

• Ability to organize, direct, and supervise groups of students in various activities.
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Adapted Curriculum Autism classroom teacher(s) in implementing instructional programs.
• Instruct groups/individuals as designated by the teacher.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials for use in lessons.
• Assist in data collection and record-keeping for student progress.
• Support Mindset Safety Management and de-escalation techniques.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in committees as required.
