Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator Level III for PreK Autism at Rosemary Hills Elementary School in Silver Spring. The position is 4.5 hours per day, 10 months, with an application window that closes on 10/20/26.

Responsibilities include supporting students with IEPs and providing instructional and behavioral support to promote learning and well‑being. The paraeducator will assist with various needs, including personal care, and may participate in off‑site activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• One year of experience with students in structured settings preferred.
• 48 college credits + two years of related experience may qualify.
• ParaPro Assessment score of 455+ required or considered.
• Candidate may be evaluated on a mix of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Support students with IEPs and related needs.
• Assist with academic, behavioral, social, emotional and medical needs.
• Provide instructional and classroom management support.
• Perform clerical tasks to assist teachers and staff.
• Occasional off-site instructional activities as needed.
