Berkeley County Schools in West Virginia seek two AU Mentor/Aide positions at MILL CREEK ELEMENTARY - Bunker Hill. Starting October 20, 2026, the incumbents will assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional activities and support AU students across behavior, communication, daily living, and vocational skills.

These roles are non-exempt, 200 days annually, with salary from $30,660 to $44,950 plus a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities and follow district policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in daily classroom operations and with AU students.
• Support behavior management, communication, daily living, self-help and recreation skills.
• Load/unload wheelchair bound students on bus and assist with transportation logistics.
• Maintain classroom and prepare materials; participate in trainings as required.
