Job summary

Sittercity is seeking a compassionate one-time caregiver for a ten-year-old girl who is severely autistic and nonverbal. The role requires supervision, someone to prepare hot food, and someone to play with, while a parent attends a medical appointment.

The child is relatively self-reliant but benefits from calm, patient supervision. The caregiver should be able to engage safely and support the child during the visit. Experience with special needs is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the child during the caregiver's time with her while the parent attends a medical appointment.
• Prepare hot meals for the child as needed.
• Engage the child in safe play and activities.

Job description

My daughter is ten, severely autistic and completely nonverbal. She is relatively self reliant, though she does need supervision, someone to prepare hot food, and someone to play with. She has a tendency to yell as verbal stim and also when she is angry. I need a one time caregiver to be with her while I attend a medical appointment.
