Job summary

Sittercity in Virginia is seeking a compassionate nanny to provide after-therapy pickups and ongoing care for a 3–4 year old child with autism, in a home setting.

The role includes light meal prep with snacks already prepared by the family, supervising play with toys, and supervising age‑appropriate activities, including YouTube.

The child is not potty trained yet and will require diapering and routine care; reliability, patience, and gentle communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with autism.
• Willing to do after-therapy pickups and after-care.
• Light meal prep and snacks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-therapy pickups and care for a 3–4 year old with autism.
• Prepare light meals and snacks and supervise playtime.

For people that would provide special needs services on an as‑needed basis

Provide them with food and snacks that I have already prepared for them. They will request juice often due to their oral stim. They like to watch YouTube and play with toys. They are not potty trained yet so they will need to be changed.
