Job summary

Anova Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and coordinate services for students with disabilities. Location to be determined; Missouri certification required.

You will act as an IEP case manager, deliver instruction in regular and special settings, communicate with teachers and parents, and maintain required records using DESE guidelines. This exempt position reports through the school site principal and the Director of Pupil Services, requiring

Qualifications

• Missouri certification in mild-moderate disabilities or related areas.
• Alternative qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a case manager for IEPs.
• Provides specialized instruction to students with disabilities in regular and special classrooms.
• Communicates with regular education teachers and principals regarding student needs.
• Collaborates with the school team to implement effective teaching strategies.
• Maintains records on student progress and required documentation.
• Participates in student eligibility evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Develops annual budget requests for instructional materials for IEPs.
• Maintains regular communication with parents of students with disabilities.
• Uses technology to implement instruction and manage documentation.
• Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
• Complies with safety practices and district policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
