Job summary

Community Horizons LLC is seeking a caring caregiver to provide after-school care for a delightful 7-year-old boy with autism. This role emphasizes safe transport, supervision, and engaging activities in a supportive environment.

You will pick up from school, accompany him home, and respond to behavioral challenges with patience and calmness. A current driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, and a background check is required prior to employment.

After school care needed for a delightful 7- year-old boy with Autism.

Do you want to make an impact in a child's life?

Do you have a few hours every other week to help with after school care and supervision?

Hours/Schedule:

3:30pm-6:30pm Monday-Friday (Every other week)

Pick up child from school and transport him to your home for care and supervision

Job Tasks:

• Provide transportation from school to home
• Engage member in activities of choice and that are age appropriate
• Provide supervision and a safe environment at all times
• Provide redirection as behavioral challenges arise

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with autism or non-verbal individuals
• A compassionate, patient and understanding attitude
• The ability to be proactive and remain calm in stressful situations
• Previous experience with autism is a plus
• Must have a current driver's license and dependable transportation
• Must be reliable

Wage:

$17.00/hour
