Job summary

Quincy Public Schools in Quincy, Massachusetts seeks a full-time Paraprofessional to support elementary and middle school students with disabilities in a public day school setting. Under supervision of a teacher, you will implement instructional activities and assist with behavioral supports throughout the day.

Preferred candidates bring school-based experience and a belief that all students can learn, with strong collaboration and organizational skills to plan interventions and track progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher and ability to assist instruction in reading, writing and math.
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructional activities per IEPs and lesson plans.
• Assist students individually or in groups to reinforce learning.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans.
• Support dysregulated behaviors and safety training (CPI/Welle).
• Supervise daily routines (feeding, toileting, with therapists).
• Monitor progress and collect data.
• Use verbal and visual supports; model tasks and behaviors.
• Be with students throughout the day across classes.
• Participate in district-provided professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by administrators.
