Drexel University’s A.J. Drexel Autism Institute in Philadelphia seeks a postdoctoral fellow to advance NIH-funded autism research on communication in adults and toddler diagnosis strategies. The role leads studies with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will mentor students, contribute to manuscripts and grant proposals, and promote rigorous lab practices within a collaborative environment. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology or social work required.
• 5-8 years of research experience.
• Experience in autism and communication disorders.
• Strong experimental, analytical, and scientific communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous documentation.
• Ability to work independently and with direction.
• Experience with community-engaged research.
• Some experience with autism intervention and social network research.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate NIH-funded autism research projects.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in design, lab techniques, data analysis, and communication.
• Contribute to manuscripts, presentations, progress reports, and grant applications.
• Maintain rigorous experimental practices and organized lab records.
• Perform or oversee autism evaluations and clinical work across studies.
• Coordinate with collaborators to meet milestones.
• Maintain project documentation and SOPs in SharePoint.
• Contribute to the institute's intellectual environment and communication.
• Exhibit outstanding written and oral communication.
