Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• Associate degree or 48 college hours or passing ACT Work Keys required within 30 days of hire.
• CPR and First Aid preferred; SPED training must be completed within 36 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under licensed professional supervision across individual, small and large groups.
• Assist students with special needs including behavioral, social, and life skills in least restrictive settings.
• Help collect data, update records and maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and families on strategies to support learning and behavior.
• Perform crossing guard duties and lunchroom monitors as assigned; participate in district in-service and committee work.
