Job summary

CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services, in partnership with Susquenita School District, is interviewing candidates for the 2026-2027 school year for an hourly Special Education Paraprofessional.

The role supports students with IEPs/504 plans, reinforces concepts, and works with students individually or in small groups. This position includes 182 days aligned with the academic calendar and offers employer-paid clearances and TB screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; must pass for 'highly qualified' as mandated by NCLB.
• Two years post secondary education, or higher, preferred.
• Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans.
• Reinforce learning concepts and skills.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Help students with organizational skills and monitor progress.
• Manage students' behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Supervise students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas.
