Job summary

New Story Schools in Ohio is seeking an Intervention Specialist to deliver structured, individualized instruction aligned with each student\'s IEP within a small, predictable classroom environment.

You will collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, guide non-IEP goals, monitor progress with data, and maintain thorough documentation to ensure compliant, student-centered growth for ages 5–21 with autism and related challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field required.
• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License or Alternative Resident Educator License required.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs is required.
• Strong collaboration and communication with families and school teams.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction and behavioral support.
• Comfortable with challenging behaviors and openness to learning support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, self-contained classroom of 6 students with individualized daily instruction.
• Collaborate with RBTs and paraprofessionals who understand ABA and data collection.
• Work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and other specialists in integrated programming.
• Plan and teach lessons aligned with each student’s IEP goals.
• Assess academic, behavioral, and social growth and adjust instruction using data.
• Partner with families and service providers to coordinate student support.
• Maintain clear documentation to support compliance and progress monitoring.
