Job summary

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a Peer Support Worker to support autistic individuals across five boroughs. You will use lived experience to provide 1:1 or group peer support, model hope, and share personal insights while participating in accredited training and ongoing development.

You will work under the Clinical Lead and MDT to empower service users, coordinate with carers, and help navigate health and community resources.

• Willingness to undergo accredited training and development

Responsibilities

• Use personal lived experience to support people in 1:1 or group settings
• Act as a role model to inspire hope and share life experiences
• Attend team meetings, care plan reviews and training
• Provide practical and emotional support to autistic individuals seeking services
• Support carers and collaborators in reporting concerns and improving services
• Develop and implement educational and peer-facilitated support groups
• Identify service users' strengths and help them use them effectively
