Job summary

The Trudeau Center in Coventry is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support children with autism. In this role, you will design behavior-analytic education programs and mentor classroom staff. Key responsibilities include developing individualized programs, participating in IEP processes, and guiding family consultations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with children with autism using ABA methods.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and engage in active classroom work.
• Certification in crisis management system required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise behavior and academic programs for students.
• Lead and mentor classroom staff including Behavior Technicians.
• Consult with school districts and families, providing guidance and training.
• Support student transitions and maintain a positive learning environment.
