Job summary
The Summit Center in Amherst, NY is seeking a Teacher (SAE) to lead the classroom and coordinate a transdisciplinary team focused on supporting students with autism and developmental challenges. Qualifications
- Bachelor0s degree in Special Education is required.
- Masters degree in Special Education preferred.
- NYS Special Education Professional certificate or applicable Students with Disabilities certificate required.
- Experience coordinating with an interdisciplinary team is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead classroom activities and coordinate the transdisciplinary team.
- Plan lessons and monitor student academic progress.
- Review and implement all educational requirements in each student’s IEP.
- Supervise and manage activities of Behavior Specialists.
- Collaborate with families and external service providers.
