Job summary

ChildServe seeks an Autism Day Program Assistant in Ames, Iowa, to support children aged 2-6 in their growth and health within our Autism Day Program. The role involves close collaboration with healthcare professionals and employing a play-based approach to achieve individualized goals.

With a starting pay rate of around $14/hour, you will work flexible hours from Monday to Friday. Applicants ideally have a two-year degree in human services or education and experience with children having special healthcare needs.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience working with children with special healthcare needs.
• Must pass fingerprint, background checks, and physical examination.
• Must have effective communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Support children with individualized care in a 1:3 ratio.
• Collaborate with therapists to achieve therapy goals.
• Maintain a safe and engaging environment for children.
