Responsibilities

• Assessment strategies aligned with the curriculum and standards to assist in learner development.
• Use effective communication techniques with students, parents, and all other stakeholders.
• Engage in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self and school.
• Use appropriate techniques to promote critical, creative, and evaluative thinking in students.
• Use instructional strategies and materials reflecting each student's culture, learning styles, and needs.
• Fulfill contract terms and adhere to ethics and regulations of the Florida education profession.
• Provide a positive learning environment supporting intellectual, personal, and social development.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.
• Establish classroom management that maintains discipline and active student engagement.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction and assessment across environments.
• Work with peers, parents, and community for student improvement.
• Integrate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Complete LEP training if assigned for LEP students.
• Keep school records and prepare required reports by law and district regulations.
• Account for school property and manage related duties.
• Perform activities in compliance with equal employment policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
